Didn't have a dog then so did not ask.... I would smuggle him now just to have a shit on BFS's dugout seat

Might have changed since but at breakfast the coffee tasted like it was instant coffee, that was the only let down.

What a shit view from your hotel window: a lop-sided, incomplete, cheap-looking cunt stadium...

YOURS!...

Stayed there last summer, rooms decent enough, views are great obviously, and they had left the balcony doors unlocked so I could go out to the seats and have a few beers overlooking the pitch.

When we were leaving we asked about a tour at reception, the bloke jumped up got his keys and showed us around.

The breakfast is quite good.

Grim71, I also did the me phil parked/Alan Taylor tour and found both to be extremely sociable characters. Parked far more outgoing, and outspoken surprisingly about current setup.

We all met up in the ironworks bar and have to agree its like putting first year kids behind a bar. Opened up with no change in till, trying to serve everyone from one till, no lagers available, no milk for coffee machine.

It does make you wonder sometimes how bad the administration is throughout the entire club.

Didn't stay in the hotel, but went on the tour which Phil Parkes and Alan Taylor organise. Thoroughly enjoyed it, went on for over 3.5 hours, well worth the money and something we should all try and do before we move to Stratford.
The pair of them were great company. I think there were about 80 people on the one I went on. They stay the night before as I think there is another tour in the morning.

Stayed there the night before Tony Carr's testimonial a few years ago. Thoroughly enjoyed it. It's greta to wake up, look out of the window and see UP stretched out before you. Didn't ask about a tour because preparation for the match was going on but bumped into a few faces like Cottee, Gale, Alvin Martin, etc.

Highly recommend it.

I stayed there about a month ago mate with my family, well worth it and the kids loved waking up to see the ground!

My wife booked us in for the Newcastle game last season. She mentioned to them about a tour of the ground and they threw that in free.....and security guard that took us around was very entertaining....looked like a hard version of one of the Chuckle Brothers!
